Is anyone still making carbon fiber hoods, both front and rear?

With a carbon fiber hood on a 914, what would happen in a frontal crash?

How integral is the steel hood in the crash safety design to begin with?

I've always been curious...

Getty Design has been passed down from father to son... Hank has retired. Carbon fiber appears to no longer be offered in 914 lids though I suspect if enough were ordered they would be revived. The cloth supply is probably back up to adequate.

I would love to get a set...

I have a CF hood that was modded with bulges for raised strut top perches.
I'm planning to take it to the Hershey swapmeet.

Is it damaged that you might let it go at GRM challenge prices? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I can hope can't I?

Sorry... You're right. I am mixing my fiberglass companies. But GT Racing no longer makes them in CF...
