I have a set of those brand new. They are set up for 2.25" springs, which are a close fit on the threaded sleeve and may rub. The bottom nut on the sleeve probably has enough meat on them. The top "hat" for the of the spring is not adequate for the larger spring. I got the plastic "adapter" that fits this but I don't like it at all! I may throw money at replacing just these top parts with 2.5" hats, or I might sell the whole enchilada.
