Mulling over colors to paint the '70. Slate Grey looks great on a 911 but how about a 914? Any pics appreciated. Thanks.

That' s Zipper 550 replica. He's on the Colorado western slope. Look at last year's Red Rocks Classic thread.

Andrew... Jeff's (sixnotfour) picture looks "Slate" to me. Maybe it's just the lighting. That looks a buttload darker than slate. My 911 was originally slate (before I got it).

Hands down probably my favorite color on a 914, this was a factory Porsche grey from the 80's, can't remember what the color was anymore.

This is the old skyline-root-moore 2.7 six for those that remember that whole deal:

It's slate gray metallic. The pictures are 'dark'. Looking at pictures on google there seems to be a solid slate gray as well.

Got one. It's actually an Alfa Romeo color code. I really like the color except in the hot summer sun at an autox or track day. The car gets PAINFULLY HOT to the touch.

It really is a slate gray, with a very subtle green tint to it under certain lighting.

Here's some pics...

It does... I like the way the black accents make it pop.
