I like to collect memorabilia, and particularly books. The pictures posted here don't even depict half of the stuff I own. I am an eclectic car guy (not just Porsches), but here are some of the neatest stuff I have in my Porsche section of the collection.

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i45.photobucket.com-12654-1310435277.1.jpg)
Very cool piece, still works, still in great condition, has been in the family for years. I have a second one that is in a bit worse shape, but also has a box. The one in the picture is always on my bookshelf, while the other one is tucked away in a closet.

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i45.photobucket.com-12654-1310435277.2.jpg)
Neat little pewter paperweight. I got this in my "press packet" in the Porsche hospitality suite at Sebring earlier this year. I keep it on display.

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i45.photobucket.com-12654-1310435278.3.jpg)
Excellence was Expected is the BEST Porsche reference material I have ever run across. Golden Era is the best reference material on the best era of racing (which Porsche dominated for a while).

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i45.photobucket.com-12654-1310435278.4.jpg)
I don't wear it often, as I don't want to ruin it, but I also got this hat down at Sebring. Darren Law, Marco Holzer, Pat Long, Joerg Bergmeister, Seth Neiman, and Marc Leib all signed it, and I love it!

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i45.photobucket.com-12654-1310435279.5.jpg)
The first race I ever went to was won by Penske Porsche RS Spyders. They sounded amazing, and I was instantly enamored. I even got to help push one to the grid.

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i45.photobucket.com-12654-1310435279.6.jpg)
The coolest poster I own. an original print from the Excellence was Expected book. Must be at least as old as I am...lol. I haven't had it long, but I really like it and proudly hang it in my living room.

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i45.photobucket.com-12654-1310435279.7.jpg) I like collecting models, but I am absolute pants at putting them together. Still in the package, been discontinued for a while, but not worth a ton yet. Got it for a song.

The cornerstone of my livingroom decoration is the following set of posters. I got them directly from Porsche North America earlier this year. Very cool, and I am glad I got them.

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i45.photobucket.com-12654-1310435280.8.jpg)
(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i45.photobucket.com-12654-1310435280.9.jpg)
(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i45.photobucket.com-12654-1310435281.10.jpg)
(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i45.photobucket.com-12654-1310435281.11.jpg)
(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i45.photobucket.com-12654-1310435282.12.jpg)

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i45.photobucket.com-12654-1310435282.13.jpg)
The bookshelf is getting a bit full. It must be time to get another bookshelf!

Well, that's what I have for now. What do you have? I love this kind of stuff, so keep it coming!

I don't know, probably my original, never installed, european 914-6 VW Porsche emblem. I have had it for about 25 years just waiting for the right car. I just don't know if it going to go on my '71 or not.

I picked up a Pocher 993 model last year. They are getting rare...

Have not built it yet.

Favorite die cast is the Exoto Sunoco 917/30. Just insane detail of the ultimate Porsche. Saw the original at Rennsport III, looks just like the model, lol.

I bet it still had the original rust on it then. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

They only rust the first time once you know...

I have an original VW dealership sign minus the light box...you know, the one that was outside every dealership in North America in the 70's-90's. Its 6' x 8' blue and white plexiglass.

I like my old school PCA badge. From what I can tell it is 60's/ 70's. I like the fact it is some what period correct on the 914/6.

The last of my collection passed to me by a 914 guy. It's time for me to pass it on to a suitable AXer that will wear it proudly......it's gnarly enough for a 914 guy. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I picked up approximately (90) Porsche pictures.... seem to be part of a dealer calendar collection. Not complete - and no 914s - but very cool!

Don't know if there is any value. I figure I will frame a few of them and rotate them periodically.....

Very cool... and fun.

I inherited a large collection of model cars and car books. Many are still in my parents' house in Georgia; many more are in boxes, but here are a couple that are on display in my house and relevant to the topic at hand!

That's totally cool. At first glance, it appeared as if it was your garage door! Our home is totally done in "Outsider Art" and needs your VW sign to compliment! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

That is a great hat.

Does it have a matching T-Shirt, if not we should make a few and give them out as awards.

I have a very large collection of 1/32 Slot cars--the details are amazing--lots of Porsche/Ferrari/Lola etc Race cars from the 60's and 70's...The wife had me box them up and put them away (for now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif) ).

The detail on them is amazing--much better than most 1/18th die cast cars you see...I'll see if I can drag them out this weekend and take some pictures, they should be seen...
