OK, The kids finally came through and I forced them to burn me a copy of the CD they did as a final class project. They got out of school early for the trip. They were graded on the project. I need someone who can copy and burn them for others to volenteer. There may be a small fee. We'll work this out. But remember, This was a class project about the building of my car and the event. And it was done by kids. Maybe someone can host it on their web site.

I can't believe 24 people looked at this and no one was even interested enough to post a comment. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) I'm kinda proud of the crew. There is some good footage of all the events from a kids perspective.

BTW: I pulled this from the bottom of the page. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

I want to see it. Can you post it online somewhere? If you DIVX encode the video the final size won't be very large at all for a 12 minute video.

It's not that I'm not interested in this--I think it would be a really neat thing to watch. But I have no clue how to burn CDs. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) Sorry!

Slits has a DVD-R Burner with Nero Burning Software - Will that work? It's a cheapie. I would give it a try anyway.

I want a copy!

Rich,
We don't have a DVD burner. But it should fit on a CD.

What format is it currently in? DVD, Tape, CD?

If you can get me a copy of the tape in the format that I sent you, I can bring it over to the computer and put it on a CD or on the web.

There has to be a way to make this work. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smash.gif)

The deal is done. I'm sending it out to Mark. McMark to you! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool_shades.gif) "The boy has skills." (gone in 60 sec.) Besides he pm'ed me first. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol2.gif)

I'm giving the kids one more chance to burn my some copies today. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) They have girl friends now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) and no time for dad. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) If it don't happen today the one and only copy outside of the original is heading to California. This video is not worth paying for but mark will be using his equiptment which is expensive and does wear out, CD's and cases cost and postage costs. So hard copies will come with a price. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) We'll cross that bridge later. Maybe He has a way to post it or host it here or someplace. I can build cars but I'm challenged when it comes to things like this.

Rich, thanks for the offer.
I'll wait for Mark to get the CD first.
Hopefully we can put it online for everyone to download it
That would save a lot of hassle and cost for everyone

cheers,

Jeroen

OK, an update here. I was playing with my wifes computer this morning. (no one ever gets up around here on the weekends..zzzzzz bunch of slackers!) Anyway, I figured out how to install it on her desk top.

Can I email a file like this? I clicked on the properties and the file is 112 MB What ever that means. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

Also she has a CD-R! If I could figure out how to burn CD's myself that would be coooL! Some people are still on dial up.

We don't need no stinkin kids!

112 MB (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) For dialup connection, it would be like trying to pass an elephant thru a 1/2" pipe - an all night download (and prolly all day too!).

Even if you have cable or DSL, that would be a LARGE file to email. Most ISPs for us normal folks would have a 2 - 10 MB mailbox.

You would need a high speed connection, FTP software and upload it to someone's server.

I am not a 'puter geek, but........, 112 MB (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

If you can get a v8 in a 914 you can burn a cd on your wifes computer. I am computed dumb as well but it isnt that hard. Look for the program that runs the burner ahead nero is very common. Start it up and just select disc copy feed the discs in the right drives and away you go. You can play with it and get it to do a simulation to figure out best speed. If you need help you can ask me or the real computer people here. Dial up just isn't going to like moving that much info.
