Hussey Mentions in the 914 Tech Articles 700 that the 35 watt US "fog Lights" can be refitted with the European H-3 100 watt Driving Lights.
My 74 needs a set of Fog Lamps and I was wondering where they are available. There's a couple of guys on ebay selling sets of 3 for $ 500.00 no way for me. Rob Wellner |

look in the tech section for the Pilot driving lite install as its "Killer!" pretty damn simple and works 10 times better than installing h-3 bulbs in which I have done too.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) Go with the pilots and the custom mounting brackets. If I do an upgrade, that's the route I'll go.

I got the set and brackets from www.camp914.com
Works great! They have lamps and custom brackets. That said, everything else on my ride is original stock and i have been wondering where to get the Euro lights too. I have seen them at Auto Atlanta for $300, but lots of warnings about dealing with them..... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) |

If you want the real deal (I mean OE Hella 118 lamps), then pm or email me offline and I can steer you to some sources.
One thing to pin down first, however, is whether you really want FOG, or DRIVING lamps. They are two different things and most of us only need one or the other depending on application and climate in which the car is used. Some cars "need" both to be optimally lit in both coastal/mountain as well as highway situations. If you are not concerned with originality, then there are various options of aftermarket and non-OE vintage lamps that can be made to work great with some degree of fabrication. |

Chris,
I love seeing pics of that 911, always dug the horn-grill lamps! BTW are the Pilot lamps a driving lamp or a fog lamp. I love the fog lamps in adition to my regular headlights on the audi, lights up all the spaces in front of the car. |

if you aren't worried about originality, the pilot driving lights in the 914 fog lamp location is just the trick. check out this thread
