I have 8" Fuchs that I'm considering painting completely black, outer lip and everything. Does anyone have pics of something like that? I am also considering just having them media blasted and then clearcoated for a sort of dull aluminum look - would like to see some examples of those too.

Thanks for the pics guys, those are good shots. I'll have to think about this for a while! Mike, are those your wheels on the red car? Or do you know if those are just UN-polished aluminum thats been sealed? I like fully anodized but it's probably more money than I want to spend. This look may be better for a mostly street car.

Doug,

That's not my car. That is a photo that has been around the 914 sites for a while. There is a version of this shot that shows more background. I believe it was taken at a German track. I saved it only because I like the car.

I have a set of black powder-coated 16x7's with Hoosiers that will be on my car for the first time on 9/22 (Willow). They look pretty mean sitting in the garage but I'm not sure how they will look on the car. I definitely like the (stock) black center w/ anodized rim appearance of my other set.
