I checked on motors when I had my Boxster. (just in case...) They were about $6k in junkyards and $10k+ at dealer. A rebuild at a local shop might be cheaper. But at that price range I bet you could do a V8. That would be awesome. I didn't know about that stuff back then. |

$600 at the pick and pull. No bellhousing or axle adapters needed. Fab motormounts and off you go. |

The engine is out of the V8 quattro. The tranny is from an A6, but the external design is identical to the boxster.
Oh, and $600 was for both the engine and tranny. |
