Project 914 in northern Ky, owner needs help in saving this one. I have owned this 914 since the 80's and I even used to drive it.
Put it on jack stands in 97 after buying a new house so that I could work on restoring it. I have made progress, but running out of drive. My 914 needs some welding on the longs, and I don't know of anyone willing to do so without me spending a fortune.
Haven't price it to anyone yet, just not wanting to give up hope. Trying to keep another 914 alive. Anyone know of someone close, or someone that can help revamp my drive for finishing?

Thanks Robert vinylconcepts@hotmail.com

Define "reasonably".

Brad's in East Peoria, which is sort of central-north-west IL. KY is south-east of IL. Probably doable as a day-trip, but not as a stop-over-and-work-on-it trip. Better as a weekender.

I guess you are right. Everyone's definition of reasonable is different. To me that's an easy trip...especially to get expert help!

Robert,

they are talking about Brad at 914Ltd in Ill.

http://914ltd.com/

I believe there is a place in the Cincinnati area, Metalkraft Coachwerks, that may be worth a call. They are 914 fluent I understand.

there may even be local guys here with welding skills who may chime in.
