Ok folks......this is an exclusive! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif)

I know from inside information that Jim Hoyland got some electrical work done today.....

on himself!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

And guess who was his Electrician's assistant? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

ME! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mrs.K.gif)

And I have a picture to prove it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Attached Image

It was awesome as I came in at the end of the procedure to relieve another co-worker as Jim was coming out of his anesthesia. I was holding pressure over the venous stick and noticed the name on the screen and then looked at the patient and said OMG I know him....so I said *Jim?.....he answered still with his eyes closed *yes?* I asked him * do you belong to the 914 world?* He said *YES*......still eyes closed.
I said * do you know a person on there named Mrs K?* he says yes! I said *the birthday fairy?* again he answers *yes* so I said *Jim, open your eyes*........
and there I was (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
Small world huh? His procedure went very well as he had some atrial fibrillation cryo-ablated (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif)

So look out RRC folks........Jims got all his *voltage* in perfect working order (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif)

What I want to know is:

What is a venous stick? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

.....in order to do our procedure we have to put several sheaths (little tubes) in his femoral veins......yes that is in the groin, and when we take them out we have to hold
pressure over the site to stop the bleeding.

So to answer your *next* question.....

yes I was holding pressure on Jim's groin (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif)

A-fib is no fun! My dad had mitral valve prolapse and was in a-fib for a few days. He felt like total crap. Glad you're getting your signals right Jim (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Lisa, what a cool story! Thanks for taking care of him, and us all, and for sharing your story.
