I am looking for a trustworthy body shop in the Fort Lauderdale area to help with the restoration of my 1970, 914-6
If anyone knows some knowledgable in 914's please let me know.

Maybe Kevin Wheeler's shop? I don't have experience with the shop. But, I know he worked with John Forbes for a number of years, and I here he is very good.

The only shop I know of is Series 9. He has lots of happy customers here on 914 world. Looks like he is working on a 914-6 right now

I concur. Joe is good. He is in Deland, which is a bit of a drive from South Florida, though.

Thanks I will look him up. The distance is not an issue if he does good work. Thanks again.

Although I can't personally recommend either shop I know Kevin Wheeler has been working on 914's for over 30 years. There is another shop in West Palm Beach Restore Porsche which has had several 914's for sale and supposed to be doing a 6 right now. Kevin is KMWMotorsports.com and Restore Porsche is restoreporsche.com. I would probably email pictures of the car to all shops and depending on exactly what you are looking at having done would inquire to timeframes as some shops will have more manpower if turnaround time is important. Also talk to Kevin as he has been in the Porsche scene for decades in south Florida and might have some recommendations for you. I would personally want to close enough to the shop to keep an eye on progress.
