I'm putting my 74 2.0L up for sale. The body of the car was just professionally refinished with all metalwork on the body taken care of by the Metal Surgeon and a high quality repaint to the factory color. The car is complete with actual documented mileage of 78,000 or so. I have documented every owner since purchase in Connecticut, but car spent majority of its life in CA.
Interior is tan which complements the ice green color nicely. The car has previously won best in class local concours events in Denver (Colorado Concours) To my knowledge the only Ice Green Metallic 914 still in existence, perhaps the only ever to have existed (have heard some reports of me stein finding an engine deck lid of a similar color). Asking 30k, located in Denver. |

Very very nice. Do you have and can you post the COA? Were the Fuchs factory installed on this car or added later?

Very very nice. Do you have and can you post the COA? Were the Fuchs factory installed on this car or added later? Sure do! Also included is a paint chip book from 1974 with Ice Green Metallic Listed. I do not believe the Fuchs were originally fitted to the car, and also that the side stripe is not of the original vintage due to an image I have from a previous owner in 82' (below) The car was special ordered out from T.N.M. Lathrop Porsche in Niantic, CT by a submarine captain. He was restationed to Scotland (likely) several months later and was forced to sell the car (through the original dealership (classified Ad from 1974). It was bought by the second owner (Dr. Jim Wilson) who was re-stationed to California later that year. He conscripted his friend Dr. Alex Rodrigues, who was also being restationed, to drive it out for him. On the drive Alex fell in love and promptly bought it from Jim. Alex owned the car up until 1982 when a move to snowy Denver prompted the sale. (classified ad). The car was bought by Joseph Brackman who returned the car to Indiana and stored it, driving it 3-4 times a year and performing annual oil changes until I bought it in 2012. I have a complete service history from Alex Rodriguez, but only limited service history from Joseph Brackman. I have included a link to dropbox account with more photos of the body as it sits (on a body dolly currently). https://www.dropbox.com/sh/utbzham0og9ubia/...6MzOjjriJa?dl=0 Attached image(s) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I have had this car in my shop. This 914 was in exceptionally nice condition. Even before the repaint, most 'teeners would have been thrilled to have it. Great car, great color. Brad |

My favouritest car ever!
Let's see, if I sold my car, I'd only need to find another $29K. If only the Canadian dollar was doing better... |

Ross, What are you DOING???? As long as you're sure....
I saw this car a few years ago at Garold's before it was completely repainted. Very well sorted original car. Ran great, the interior was very nice, and the history and documentation are amazing. No expense was spared taking care of it. I'm sure that has not changed. With a high-quality paint job I'm glad my kid's in college or I'd WANT it. Neat car that IS rare due to the color. You WILL NOT find another one exactly like it. If you ever wanted a nice investment grade 914 this just might be it. Hurry up so I don't have to look at it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ! PS - Just noticed BRAD MAYEUR posted positive comments!!!! No need for me to say anything (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) . This will be gone soon people. |

I have a matching engine lid but the car it came from was cut up for parts. I got it when I bought one of my '71's and the PO said the car was origional color but way to rusted to save.

I don't understand this listing. Is the car back together? If the car was previously winning concours event, why the repaint/metalwork? Was the car damaged?
I guess I should have started by asking whether the car is still for sale. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

The car is not together, as a matter of fact it's about as pulled apart as is possible. While the car had won events previously, the paint had been replayed at a sub-concours level in the late 80's. 15 months ago I ran into the ice green car with my other 914 and damaged the left front fender. I had this fender repaired (replaced the entire fender) by one of the best metal workers around (the Metal surgeon). While this work was being done I went ahead and had him refinish and repaint the rest of the car in the original color. The paint is truly breathtaking now. More details can be seen in my Calypso build thread! I know I'm asking enough to raise some eyebrows, but IMHO this car is worth it. |

Appreciate the prompt reply. The paint looks great.
If you decide to put it back together, I would be in the market.... |
