Anyone have luck rebuilding the aux heater blower motor (the one in the engine compartment)? Mine works, but occasionally howls. If I turn it off and back on, it will quiet down. Downshifting also helps. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

I'm thinking it needs a good cleaning & lube, or new bearing(s).

I attempted to disassemble it, but didn't get very far. Any help would be appreciated.

Mine was seized. I also tried to disassemble it to inspect, lube or replace the bearings or bushings (whichever it has), but also hit a wall trying to get it apart. I posted a WTB ad here in the classifieds, had a tested good motor in hand in a matter of days, at an affordable price. Some tasks are not worth the headaches.

Thanks, arne - that's what I'll do.
