Took car over to the place sline recommended for ceramic coating this am. Going to have the muffler parts done.
They want to know if the muffler chambers-I think there are two- have asbestoes inside. Said it could melt... Anyone know whats inside ? |

I think mine gots rattely plates inside. IDONNO about any fibers.

Just call the mfg. of Bursch / Horsepower Engr'g and ask them: 626-440-0440.

BTW, I mentioned to the owner (Bursch) that his shiny black paint is worthless as it is NOT heat resistant. Furthermore when I resold one of his 924 headers (we mfg. our own since then), the paint actually ignited in a customers car. I was kind enough to bring this up to them...they told me I was blowing smoke ! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wacko.gif)
The mufflers that they use on their systems are the cheapest Walker turbo units money can buy. Yesteryear technology at best. MF |

I'm thinking of the Dynomax Bullet in place of the Bursch Muffler. I'll have to get some size adapters. smallest they make is 2 1/2".
