I know that the latch mechanism in the front trunk is adjustable. My question is:
If you adjust the latch so the lid closes tighter do you need to compensate for the cable that you pull to open. I'm worried that if I get the trunk lid to close tighter the cable may not open it???? Then I'll really be stuck. What's your thoughts?

No. Cable travel is independent of latch adjustment but it’s important to lubricate the cable and all the moving parts.
