Do they fit the factory seat rails? The seats are universal in design so you can basically fabricate some mounting plates to mate up with the factory rails, others have purchased universal rails and adapted them that way. Skies the limit in the way you can get these bolted up to your car. I'm sure there are plenty of tutorials online. |

Anyone pull the trigger on these? Back and bottom cushioning looks pretty flat, just wondering how they are.

Anyone pull the trigger on these? Back and bottom cushioning looks pretty flat, just wondering how they are. Looks like almost zero seat padding from the picture. the edge of the front of the seat is quite a bit higher than the seat area, too. Doesn't look that comfy, but I'd love to be wrong as they are 1/2 the price of anything else out there. |

Although the padding may look thin, it is pretty comfortable from our testing. The seating position is also comfortable and due to the thinner FRP design it helps you sit lower into the vehicle giving it an optimal driving position. Here is a photo of a recent install we did into an NA Mazda Miata to give you an idea. This car is driven daily by the customer on a 30 minute commute to work and back. Are these a FG "bucket" Like the OE 914 seats or a tube frame design?
& more importantly do they fit into the OE backpad scallops (with & without the headrest)? |

The frame of the seats are made of an FRP material so they are not steel tubes. As far as fitment, there is a measurement diagram included in the original post above. We have had several 914 customers for these seats with no issues reported as far as fitment goes. |

It gets hot here, plastic lawn chairs warp and fold like tacos in the summer. |

QUOTE Fiber-reinforced plastic, so like Zytel, delrin hdp? How thick is the plastic? It gets hot here, plastic lawn chairs warp and fold like tacos in the summer. This is automotive interior grade FRP. They are designed to withstand interior temperatures and will not warp. Of course, It goes without saying that I would advise against leaving any chair or seat out in direct sunlight for extended periods of time. |

I'm still looking for the direct answer from the manufacturer to the two questions that have been posed here.
1.Can these be installed without raising the OEM seat height? Yes or no? 2. Will these seats fit in the clamshell seat back when the seat is moved all the way back. Yes or no? The OEM seat height and rail dimensions are readily accessed for comparison. |

Why cant the vendor tell us if they work or not? Maybe they should sponsor a user so these questions can be answered.
