Hi everyone,
I was lucky (?) enough to purchase a Saratoga Top recently. I know these have their advocates and detractors here. With that being said, the top in question was missing a latch and I figured 'nothing ventured, nothing gained' by asking here if anyone has one. If you do, I'd be happy to pay a reasonable price or even finder's fee. Please let me know, thanks. -Mike 1967SWB@gmail.com |

That would be great! Here's the only picture I had on my computer. Oops! Sorry this is the factory top. I'll get a pic of the latch I need and put it in the next post.

Wow great!
I’m afraid to ask, but what’s a Saratoga accident? Please let me know how much you want for them. Nevermind, found your asking price here: http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=344051 Thanks! Mike |

In case edrotol doesn’t respond to my PM, does anyone else have a Saratoga latch? Thanks.

I'm having some trouble with this seller. When I told him I would take these latches at his $89 + shipping asking price he replied to me that he now wants $299 for them and his previous for sale post was a mistake. See here: http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=344051 He says that it was only supposed to be a draft post and somehow it accidentally got posted and he would never sell these latches for so little. With some more digging I found that he had tried even earlier in November to sell them for only $79 + shipping. See here: http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=341965 What gives? Is it ok to raise your price by 300% for a part when a WTB ad pops up that matches what you are selling? I'm trying to do the right thing and perhaps meet the seller in the middle but the whole thing stinks of a scam to me. Has anyone else successfully dealt with this board member? Is this considered ok behavior? Thanks, -Mike |
