Don't ask me why, but I've always loved the gruesome, disgusting, low-budget horror films. The more intense, the better.

I currently own:

The original Dawn of the Dead
The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre
The original Night of the Living Dead
Zombie
The Toxic Avenger
The Evil Dead

Plus, I just bought "I Spit on Your Grave" off eBay..... I haven't seen it yet, but should be arriving soon, perhaps even today, and I'm pretty excited about it.

Any other like-minded, twisted individuals out there have any other suggestions??

Dead alive

a Japanese movie called 'battle royale'
another called 'Ishi the Killer'

not as gory: 'hush , hush sweet charolette'

I'm actually a fan of the HellRaiser Series too, and Nightmare on Elm St. (have the box set) Series

While not necessarily scary, try this for uber cheesy gore: Bad Taste

There is even a gratuitous scene with an exploding sheep (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/fighting19.gif)

The Blob with Steve McQueen.

Great movie. My teenaged sister and her best friend watched it one summer afternoon and then went out with friends. I made up knox blox jello that was the same color as the blob and put it in the bottom of her bed, under the covers. After staying up most of the night talking with her friend, she got into the bed. When she stuck her feet into the jello, there were screams so loud it woke everyone in the house. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/lol2.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/chairfall.gif)

Needless to say I was grounded for a week for this. It was worth it!

I LOVE that movie!!!!

Seen it...laughed so hard I nearly puked. Dead Alive is great too. Amazing that the same guy who brought us the Lord of the Rings trilogy started by making splatterfest flicks.

And if you've got the Evil Dead series on your list, you need to complete that trilogy w/Army of Darkness. All hail Bruce Campbell!

Yup! But don't bother with the directors cut of army of darkness.. the ending sucks, and they changed the best line of the movie!

"Ash"? In California, that's an acronym for" Atascadero State Hospital", where they lock up the SERIOUS criminal crazies, and throw away the key .........

No love for Tarantino?

"Kill Bill Vol. 1" is one of my all-time favorites. Something about cartoonish fountains of blood really warms this ol' heart of mine.

Speaking of cartoonish fountains of blood, I just finally got around to getting Grand Theft Auto III for my PS2. I like it more than I thought I would... Are the sequels even better?
