What was the original finish on the front caliber locking plates. This is the piece that gets bent over to secure the caliber bolts from loosening up.

I'm going to take shot out in left field. My guess is yellow zinc like a number of the other parts throughout the vehicle. Interesting that they used this coating in a number of locations even in areas that the owner would usually never see.

Thanks. I have two that have a gray paint finish probably after market and one rusted with some zinc coating and no more cad which probably wore off.

I’m pretty sure you can buy them new but I reuse them if they are half decent.
