Back when I was young, building my 72 opel gt, I had this swag shirt from opel gt source, I think. It got all grubby and left behind in Minnesota 30 years ago. Look what mom just turned into a pillow! She surprised me with it today (after driving 1600 miles to go fishing with the family). I thought that shirt was long gone.

That IS COOL!

But, you cannot use it as a pillow.

Not really...

It's 30 years old and won't take much abuse anymore.

Still a KILLER gift!

That is a neat enough picture that a framed print would be worth having in the shop!

Check out the little fox near the bottom!

Hauling ASS!

Very nice!

BTW, any time I want to think of the 914 as unusual, I remember cars like the Opel GT.

That must be some good fishing to drive 1600 miles for it. Suspect she had ulterior motives. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

Cool gift - cool mother. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif)

Yes but how’s the fishing? What lake?

Heading up to lake Carlos tomorrow, near Alexandria. The fishing is normally excellent. Mostly large mouth bass, northerns, some crappies, perch and walleye. My favorite eating is the sunfish though. Fillets in corn meal fried in a pan with oil. Mmmm.

We have been fishing there each summer since I was 3 years old. I started bringing my kids each year too. Great way to visit the grandparents.

I go to Minnewawa a lot. Family cabin bought by my dad for $2000 in the 1970’s. Ice house on MilleLacs. Grew up in Lake Elmo area. Now I’ve got this giant lake just southwest of me that doesn’t freeze…

Great pic indeed. I'm originally from NY. I remember visiting Montauk Point when I was a kid. It was a fun excursion. A college buddy had an Opel GT. Sweet little car.
