SOLD
For Sale is a VDM 914.347.805.10 GT steering wheel. This is sold as a core. Make your self a genuine 914-6 GT wheel. The master restorers like Dallas Wheels and others can make this look brand new. Looked up the other day and hanging on the garage shop wall was this thing. Think the last time I used it and why it was siting there was to move rollers and parts cars around. Sold my last project in late 2019. Not doing anymore. Hard enough to keep the 70' 914-6 in running shape. It's a good solid core and the welds are good. Has the horn ring loose. So here you go a real project. With a little work you have a $1k wheel $75 plus shipping |

Will this fit my 1970 914-6 spline correctly without adapter? Yes. It’s identical to an 803 10 or 806 10 wheel in every way except the 805 part number. so....if i could be educated, if it is identical except for the number...is there ANY difference, other than the number? |

No difference. Ends in 10 = early with Porsche steerer Ends in 11 = later with VW steerer. The splines are the same throughout all the wheels but the base on a Porsche hub is 90 degrees to the shaft. The base on a VW hub is chamfered. Both will fit each other but not well and not how Porsche designed them to fit. The wheels that end in 10 are the ones you want for early 911’s. |
