23 Years ago when I decided to replace the 4 cylinder in my 914 because it started making lots of noises it shouldn't have ...fast fwd about 6 years ago I decided to sell the Webers carbs that were on it. When I removed them to clean before i put them on eBay I noticed a nut missing and pulling apart the engine I found the NUT!!

It came from the air cleaner base that attached the K&N filter .. and how? Gravity is my only explanation (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

The Nut ended up in the muffler..

Prolly not. You can indeed remove and reinstall the CIS FI system from a 911 without pulling the engine. Just be sure to count the nuts coming off the intake manifold.
