Hi World - As most of you know, I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to stock stuff. I have poked around on-line and think I can stumble my way to the answers but figured I'd tap the brain trust we have here. Thanks in advance!
I'm fitting what I think is a '73 911 steering column to the 914 Ferrari build. I've trimmed off the 911 mounts and have the necessary custom mounts worked out to fit the column to the car. What I want to nail down is: 1. What year(s) does this column come from? Most importantly: What parts do I need to complete this? 2. I understand these run a particular metal sleeve and spring (vs a bearing) beneath the hub but apparently there may be an updated nylon bushing... I'm having trouble finding details about what the best solution is. 3. Once I'm sure of the year, I suppose I can work out this one but: I want to run a Momo wheel so which Momo hub do I need? This requires something with a "nose" that extends down onto the splines... Again, I appreciate your helpful guidance. Attached thumbnail(s) |
