AFAIK this is a two pole sender, to be used with an idiot light and a gauge. My recent /6 build I went with this setup. Probably just me, I like seeing the oil pressure on a gauge

Yes agree with above. Sender must match the gauge for the correct reading.
In addition, there is an extra wire in the main harness that was used in the Sporto. Can’t remember what pin it is in the main connector but pretty certain the wire is green. Conveniently it runs from the connector all the way to the instrument bezel. All you have to do is add the connecting wire to the engine harness to run from the connector to the sender. There is a thread here from me that would confirm the details. You will also see the wire in the six diagram. Sorry, don’t have access right now to my diagram. When I get time later I will try to find the thread. It was about 8 years ago. Makes it real easy to do. |

If you want to add an oil pressure gauge, in addition to the oil warning light, (I would recommend it) I would reach out to John Bell over on the Pelican site. He currently has my gauges and he does outstanding work. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)
