Hey guys,
A while back I posted a thread on the forum of how I painted my 914. Recently I painted another 914 and documented the process in a series of rather longform Youtube videos. Maybe this can help someone thinking of painting their 914 themselves. There's a few more videos in the series coming up, but here are the latest few: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0RWk2hc76sA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dnIITjk8DU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJXzoX0flTY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_OuuwU1LHQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GgywqiVhYX4 Here's my original thread: Original Thread "How I painted my 914". |

As the others have said, thanks for putting this together... I've begun to paint mine in pieces just as you did. Your info is quite helpful.

Thanks. Just be careful and see my cautions about painting in pieces if you’re doing metallics. As the others have said, thanks for putting this together... I've begun to paint mine in pieces just as you did. Your info is quite helpful. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) The last 914 I painted was 17+ years ago. The paint turned out nice, but I painted with doors and lids off and doors laid flat = oops. Put them back on and the didn't match fenders 100%. |

I agree. Mine is single-stage non-metallic.
