Looking for the front fuel line grommet for my 1970.. Somehow misplaced mine and I can't seem to find one new.. It is the one with openings for both fuel lines to go through.
part no. 91435654300 also labeled 25/1 on a few diagrams I have seen. Thanks |

I think the early one has two equal size holes. |

Now that I think about it i believe the 1970 uses two smaller grometts unlike the larger block one on later cars. @914sixer |

Well. I wasn't aware there were different grommets for early and late cars..
I have no idea if they are different from a 4 to a 6. either.?? My car is up on a lift in an unheated garage and it is snowing so I won't be able to see exactly which version I actually need.. Thanks Guys.. But I guess I need to do more research.... |

I dont ever recall seeing a setup like that, what I do recall on ealy cars is that the plastic lines were not tipped with metal hardlines.. but the grommet would have asemtrical sized holes. Only later did they go to the x2 smaller dia. hose/holesThe other difference on that late grommet is the 3rd hole for the 4mm vapor line. I have them HERE |

I don't believe it changed to the large single grommet until late 74 possibly 75 when the pump got moved up front. Nope. 73-74 certainly used the 2 hole grommet. I have broken a lot of cars but looking back, fewer of the very early cars thus my unfamiliarity (or is it just old age (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) ). Now comes the originality question what MY did the factory change the chassis & simplify the grommet .. 70-71, 71-72? |
