$1700 without intake, exhaust, 2.0 engine tin
Running vid: startup vid

I have a mystery engine for sale. It runs and fairly well, but it will require head work. Number 4 cylinder has a case saver (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) connected to the spark plug. I guess the original was stripped. Specs as far as I can tell:

1.7 block - EA serial number
2.0 crank - measuring stroke distance from a chop stick in cyl 1 spark hole
Could it be 2056, maybe????
2.0 heads
Head vent only on 1 side
Electronic ignition - pertronix?
Leak down
Cyl 1: 2%
Cyl 2: 10%
Cyl 3: 26%
Cyl 4: couldn't check due to spark hole.

History: I purchased what was supposedly a 912e engine. The shroud has the serial number. I didn't bother to ask about the block as all the pieces, 912e tin, 912e exhaust, 912e heat exchangers, 912e FI setup came with it. Upon arrival it was an EA block and I noticed the spark hole messed up. Supposedly a previous running FI 912e engine when pulled years ago. The seller made good on the misrepresentation.

I think the original block of the 912e had some issue and this 1.7 case was used with the heads/crank/rods of the 912e. Anyway, this would be a good candidate for a partial rebuild. It was already rebuilt once. You could throw it into a car and even drive it around in it's current state.

Includes:
powder coated engine tin (Not top 5 pieces)
912e/ljet dizzy
912e fan shroud
Clutch/flywheel
Cooling flaps
Alternator
Plugs and wires

Not included:
Carbs and exhaust

If you wanted to run it in your teener you would need
Top engine tin 2.0
Intake - dual Carbs or Ljet setup
Exhaust
Wire harness

I have most of the 912e FI, but it's missing the airbox and AFM
