How can i remove the mesh grill from the engine lid, it looks lite those snap on bits are not-removable ?? Need to refinish that assembly

There are many ways but one is - with regular pliers, just squeeze the keepers in half and again @90*. they will fall off. You'll need replacements as these are one-time-use. 914Rubber.com usually has em.

I believe the emblem nuts and the grille nuts are the same.

The nuts are available, I cut the nuts in half with snips

Yea, that worked, needle nose pliers to pinch them up & they come right off.
Now where to find replacements as they get destroyed in removal. Couldn't
find them in the PET. Couldn't find on 914 Rubber, but scored on McMaster Carr
(SS push nuts)
