Hey guys!
I bought a 914 earlier this week! (IMG:http://www.smallwonderdesigns.com/2.jpg) It's a 74 2.0L with a 2056 in it. I will be selling the 2056 and installing the 2270cc (78.4x96) that I have installed in my Bug. It should be a cool ride! Here's a video of me in the Bug seating the rings on the 2270... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) http://www.qtm.net/~persot/launch_turbo.WMV Glad to be a part of the 914 bunch! These are great cars to drive! I'm hooked already! Later, Tom |

I love that slant, it's like confused's black one.. I love the color.
Want to buy some rockers? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) How much you want for the motor? I need one! I just had to remove my 2.0 for a re-rebuild @ 4800miles, and had taken my other car apart.. I don't even have a ride. 0-2 ain't good.. M |

It's New Beetle Yellow - the camera doesn't really pick up the color.
I took the Bug auto-xing this past weekend and I was hooked. I fell upon the chance of buying this car on Monday and did the deal Wednesday. Yikes, it still hasn't kicked in yet! I like the slant nose too - I just need to get some blinkers up front. I'm thinking of something behind the horn grills. Redshift, contact me via email if you are interested in the motor. Later, Tom |

Brad,
Yes, I'm from the STF, I had a primer Grey 61 bug that was destined to have the 2270 in it, then I bought the 63 Bug (and I sold the 61) which took the 2270 in it. Now, the 63 is up for sale and the 2270 goes into the 914. Yeah, that motor gets around!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I can't wait to see what she'll do with the bigger motor. This 2056 that's in it purrs like a kitten - the 2270 roars like a LION! Later, Tom |

Raby put you up to this... correct ?? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)
He needed someone to infiltrate this BBS.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol3.gif) Welcome.. I saw that car up for sale on Ebay. The only thing I didnt like was the slant nose.. it means the car was in a wreck at some point and they decided to chop the fenders off instead of fixing them properly (pure speculation on my part) but few people customize there 914's unless they have insurance money..LOL B |

Kevin,
I used DTM cooling for the Bug. The 2056 can be sold without cooling, with cooling (the DTM) or stuck in the Bug for a whole package deal. I will be using the stock cooling for the 914 which should be plenty. Jake has been running a 2316 with much more C/R in his 914 with no problems. Exhaust is the big question... Later, Tom |

Brad,
First post here and you're busting my balls.... LOL (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) I personally like the slant nose, I just need to do something for blinkers up front. I'm still at a loss for what I want to do for the front, I kinda like it, sometime I don't. Maybe it will grow on me. But, I think a 5 lug conversion with SC struts and Fuch's all around is in order. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Later, Tom |
