Hello All,

I thought I would share my 914-6 pics and some thoughts on California (From a Non-Californian)

Thoughts:

1) You all suck! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I have never seen more million dollar sports cars in one place in my life. Where else can you get passed on a freeway by a Ferrari Enzo and 6, yes (SIX) Lamborginis AT THE SAME TIME.

2) Ferraris, Lambos, and the like must all come with a HOT BLOND as standard equipment. (Though I have a feeling this is the most expensive option to maintain!)

3) If you own a million dollar Ferrari its still okay to park on the street and put a quarter in the meter.

It was a blast. Here are my pics of the Cerwin-Vega 914 at Laguna Seca.

I know what you mean, in the parking lot of my hotel in Carmel (uncovered unsecured parking) there were two new lambos and about 6 new ferraris.

Money up there has no real meaning except it is a competition to see who can spend the most.

That 914/6 ran real well and sounded great but the class it was in made it look slow. Racing against 935s, 934s and RSRs. Not exactly even or fair, but it did beat the vega (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Gas is expensive in California. I saw this guy put in $75 bucks abd only got 10 gallons. This pic is about halfway. 33 bucks for 4.4 gallons.

Okay its 110 octane race fuel... but wow!

If anyone would like a very high resolution file of the poster I did let me know. It will print out very nice up to 36"X48" if you can find a printer to handle it. The file will be a TIF format in the 50MB range.

The high res does not have the Monterey words on it, though. If you want the Monterey words let me knw as well.

Enjoy,

Christopher...

One guy was driving a brand new yellow lambo, didn't even have plates yet.
When he parked it in the hotel lot i was walking by and I said something like very nice, looks like alot of fun.
I was wearing the toyota motorsports shirt from the races, he looked at me and said " you must have a tundra or something:".
I said yes, I do have a tundra.
He said "i bet it has a killer stereo or a cool paint job".
I said no, it's all stock. Then I realized this little smart ass punk was slamming me.
I just walked away, figured he wasn't worth dealing with.
The next day I found out that he just worked for the dealer and was hired to drive the car up so they could try and sell it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I wonder if he would act so cool if he knew the truth was out?

I guess I could. I would need a super high resolution picture of the front of a 914 just like my 906 shot above. I would use mine, but I have a 75 and I know the bumpers would be an issue.

But its a very simple design that most anyone could pull off with the right image.
