I waz waiting for you to post yer pics. Not sure, but it does seem to happen at a weak point on the a-arm. Of course, the post over on pelican is the first I have read of this happening since my introduction to 914's. Maybe I missed a few? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

I personally have never seen this. I wonder if it has something to do with bad ball joints locking up in the arm.

The 911 is a very stiffly sprung track/AX car, maintained by a VERY reputable shop.
I shoulda taken a "before" pic of the arms on my car ...scary....much worse than the picture of the unmodified part. |

Yep. The ERP system is VERY nice. We will dupe it for half the cost. It also raises the suspension points in the chassis by something close to an inch.
I wonder if I havent seen any of these failures because we run LIGHTWEIGHT cars and not the 911 tanks.. We have one that is cracked, but it has been on a race car for 14+ years. It didnt break (cause you know... we inspect this crap before every race) B |
