Woah, it's sure going to surprize some hotrodders. I love those fenders, didn't
notice until they mentioned it. |

The SuperBeetle has a front suspension layout very similar to 914. Why go to all trouble of putting body on a "pan" which really isn't a pan. I'd rather just take the Superbeetle chassis/pan, and graft the mid-engine arrangment. Neat idea, but I don't see the economy of time or effort using the method described.

I love the translation. Look at this:

Andy,
I don't post anything about it here because this is 914 stuff, but something some might be interested in is my 1303 4x4 project. The Super has been lifted 4", longer trainling arms, full fenders sort of like a class 11 style. Looks stock, has 28" all-terain tires on 2.0 Fuchs. Looks really good and agressive. I am still trying to source out some of the parts for the 4x4 conversion. VW Bus Syncro trans will be the hardest. My goal is to make it something the factory might have done like they did in the 40's with the military VW units. Fun Stuff! Thanks for sharing. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) |
