I couldn't stand for a customer to have better equipment than I do so I built another rotisserie for my shop.

I also made a set of tension/compression rods to brace the door openings while working on the chassis.

Cool bracing. Do they bolt up to the hinge bolt pattern? or welded in?

All right Chris, see I made you do it. By the way, the money spent on the rotissere was money well spent. I highly recommend it to everyone. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I think we've asked this question before but I learn the hard way so here goes. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Can you put a slightly unloaded teener on a rotissere? Like with engine / interior / trim and doors removed? Or do you have to remove all the suspension and other related parts? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

"And even the better question.... where can I get one and how $$$$."

tdgray -
I built one my self and I am now done with it. If you want it, it is free. I live in Minnesota so it may be a little far to go for what it is worth.

The car shown has the suspension and glass still on it.
I don't think I would want much more on there, especially not the engine.

I could make more but shipping might be expensive.
One at a time the price is $850 out my door.
A group buy might save $100-150 each.

Whats overall lenght and width? I may need to store race car on its side for a while if it fits up against front wall of shop (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

Without actually measuring, I would say you need a space about 15ft x 5ft with the car on its side.

About how many orders would you need for a group buy discount?

The other question would how hard will it be for YOU to handle the shipping to us? Not t hat you pay for it, just your time, effort and such?

Whoa! That means you can get about five 914's in the typical two car garage! This is a major breakthrough. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mueba.gif)

Nice work Chris!

Is that a 6? I have a 6 that I think is probably the same color, not too common, metallic green. What color is the interior? I'm trying to find an early tan basketweave interior for my 6.

I really like your door frame braces. I'm guessing you've got RH/LH threads on the heim joints, for adjustment? Very nice.

No plans, but here's a material list. Knock yourself out.

Just don't try to use a 110V Mig to assemble this!

Thanks Perry!
It's a '75, so not a -6. Notice the different bumper mounts.
Customer provided it already stripped, so I haven't seen the interior.
Yup, I can easily adjust the preload on the braces to counteract welding shrinkage forces. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
