Simple rules for vendor donations: ask. Worse they can say is no. Acknowledge. Be sure to thank them both in the forum and at the event when you hand out the goodies.

Looks like we have a volunteer, probably would do better coming from a well known member than a new one any way.

I would like to incorporate something on the shirt this year for vendors. Just a small section on the bottom maybe. What do you guys think? Plus send each of them a free shirt for their donation. Something we'd have to work into our costs but should be doable. I also will do a better job of giving each of our vendors shouts out at the event. We always give them a shout out but I'd like to maybe record that this year at our dinner. Maybe record our awards portion & post it on the World for all to see. We can do a better job of propping up our vendors (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

It would depend on the design for the shirts, don't want writing or graphics covering the whole shirt. I like what Mark did last year, posters,(even though I never got one (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif) ) then have the vendors on the poster, give them a shirt and a poster?

It's been done. Raises the shirt price dramatically.

The other concern I would raise is the potential delay in the final design and getting shirts made.
And what do you do for the vendor(s) that chip in a bit late in the process?

I do think we need to real work to show support and apreciation to the vendors that are stepping up for this.

Yeah so maybe not on the shirt. Maybe we can make more of a blanket plaque or something for vendors. Or we just send them a shirt & a thank you. I also may have a Sponsor for our shirts. More to come on that (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I'd like to do something a little more special for our vendors as a thank you. I'm certainly open to ideas there

Maybe a framed group picture with a Thank You caption added sent to each vendor with a t-shirt? The thread giving thanks would be good too.

Yeah that would be cool. Get the group pic with all the cars & people framed. With a thanks on the frame or something. Something cool enough they can put in the front room of their shop (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Poker run is possible. I like just raffling off the prizes at the awards dinner. I've got a few lined up. I'll get going on it this week. Been out of town for Route 66. Been great but I've been gone 10 days now. Heading home tomorrow finally (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Looks like we'll need something for the poker run prize, then a couple for the kart racing. The rest we can raffle at the Saturday dinner if you want.

Glad you had a good time, wanted to make that trip.
