Anyone here into tiki,or wood carving the discovery channel will be airing an episode of "THE DUDE ROOM" on Feb 17, at 3:00 pm ( I believe this is est) featuring Crzy Al doing one of his tiki totems by chain saw. Watch the talent and hate yourself because you can't do it. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)

Every year when we go to Kauai my Wife & I walk a path along the beach that takes us past a Hawaiians house that does old style carving. His backyard looks out on the beach. He has a palm frond covered lean-to with a pik-nik table that he sits at & carves totems. He does all sorts of figures big, small and all with hand held carving tools of old. Wished I could find the picture! Quite an art (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/beer.gif)
