Had an idea for a driving event since we will likely have insurance. This is intended to be fun and collaborative like my picture rally at WCR 2010. We go to one of those party stores and get one of those nerf dart guns with a target. We also get a nerf basketball and hoop. Add a few more gimmicks and you get the idea. Driver just drives. Passenger performs stunts. Points are for accuracy on the stunts and time. So, a high score on the stunts gets subtracted from the time. Lowest score wins.

Seems like a huge liability with a large likelyhood of an accident.

I mean sure it sounds like a blast! We would have to test it out to see potential problems. I dont think the lower tier of drivers would be able to do this safely.

Unless you have a rule where the driver has to be stopped in a box for the passenger to participate. Maybe they have to get out of the car to do certain stunts?

It could take a lot of time to organize and get through, Not a lot of driving but I am sure a lot of fun to be had by all.

These are by safe. The driver must be stopped. CRAB in Sacramento region used to do these almost annually.

Sounds good. Do you want to look for a venue and head that up?

Thats what I mean by venue (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

We will need to discuss with either park rangers, the local PD, stores, churches, ect looking for a parking lot large enough to do this type of thing legally.

The hotel area will be busy in June. Last weekend was perfect. Not too many people around. I did not see any good spots in Mammoth for this but the road I took to Bodie (the paved part) was sparsly populated with other traffic. They should have named it Boonie. It's way out there.
