Wonder where it is today?? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) Attached thumbnail(s) |

Looking good for the 80s (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) It would be really neat if it still looked the same today.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) I was thinking the same thing. I love it. Reminds me of the Shadow Cars from the CanAm era |

What's peeking out of the engine bay there? A big air cleaner in the middle? That is SO '80's. I'd drive the crap out of that as is. Looks like Howard's V8 car's naughty sister.

Mike...I never rocked that 911 tea tray on the 914...it's hideous (IMG:style_emoticons/default/barf.gif) , unless on an rsr 911 ! The color scheme reminds me of Darell Vitone's VW hot rod builds, but he was all type4...never touched the v8 conversions. Back then the v8 conversions were only Rod Simpson Hybrids, or the Hauser bros. (JaideCar; Renegade (Andrew Leany) came along a little later (never innovated the conversion ) . Carlsen Porsche+Audi track 914 also used a similar color band theme, but The Jury is still out; we will keep digging in the archives for more history on this 914. |

I resemble that 14,pretty sure it was a feature in some VW mag in the 70-80's.
The pix is scanned from the pages. The farout winged thing with stripes of bright primaries. Radical,Man. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smoke.gif) Early 'Tee' back there, which is also familiar,I might guess the pix was for the HotRod or StreetRodder mags. Centerline wheels in 8-10". For sure,a catchy build. Another,Glockler. / |

I dunno... I was around then and I always thought those huge tails looked like they belonged to the buffet at Golden Corral or something. Never really a fan... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chowtime.gif)
If you'd cut that out, the rest of the car is really sweet including the color!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) |

It's a real m471 which were then further modified with the Glockler touch. The wing thing has left the building (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |
