"French race team, from a transport company that was well funded. It's F.A.T. and i forget what all the initials stood for. The owners bought Stuttgart's finest and raced for enough years , including sponsoring the Dauer/ Porsche 962 Le Mans racer" |

The final version of the 962 looks alot like the Sauber-Mercedes C9.
Both extremely elegant racing cars. Vysoc (IMG:style_emoticons/default/flag.gif) |

FAT performance built a lot of off road racing engines for the Baja/Score racing crowd. They may have done some minor, part sponsorship for a couple of these SCORE teams, but I don't think they ever campaigned their own team.
At first they were strictly aircooled VW, but I do know that later they built other off-road race engines, more for the smaller classes. |
