For Sale: I have decided to sell my 914-6, I have owned the car almost 5 years and have put less than 1000 miles on it in that time. I have come to the realization that I have too many projects / cars and not enough time. This is an original 6 that was restored several years back with Steel GT flares Paint: Signal Orange (Original Color) Engine: 1970 2.2S MFI engine rebuilt by Denny Aker's in Seattle Exhaust: Stock 914-6 heat exchangers with modified 911 muffler for 2 in / 2 out. Trans: Side Shift transaxle, stock -4 gear ratios, GT Torque Biasing Diff, J-west side shift linkage update Brakes: Front: 911S Alloy Calipers, Rears: 914-6 GT mod with drilled / vented rotors on all four corners Wheels: Fuchs 15x7" Fronts, 15x8" Rears (comes with 15x8" spare) Interior: Momo Prototipo wheel, GTS classic seats with houndstooth inserts, Nakamichi CD player with removable face and aftermarket speaker pods. Body / Exterior: Steel fender flares, steel rocker panels modified for flares, steel front valance modified for flares, GT engine lid built by Sergio Meza, Hella Euro lenses front and rear. Re-chromed front and rear original bumpers with license plate holed welded up on front bumper (high quality chrome work, you have to see these to appreciate how nice they are), new / perfect rubber bumper tops. Original side view mirror (drivers side only) Battery: Odyssey PC680 dry cell battery, rennline battery holder, hella battery cut-off switch, relocated to front trunk (see pics). Original Numbers matching 2.0L longblock included COA included with car along with large folder of records. Asking: $79,000 *Update: 11/12/2019 Lowered price to $75,000. Work Performed Summer 2015: Installed new speedometer cable Installed new J-West side shifter linkage Install late style parking brake handle Installed 944 inertia reel seat belts Installed new Hella Euro front turn signal lenses Replaced front sway bar drop links with adjustable units Replaced front suspension bushings Replace oil pressure sender with new VDO 0-80 psi sender to match gauge Replace fuel tank sending unit with new VDO part Rebuilt pedal cluster with new bronze bushings, new clutch shaft and spring. Replaced right targa bar window seal Replaced Fuel Filler Cap seal Replaced old “914-6” emblem with NOS gold 914-6 script Installed new 12v power adapter under dash (for GPS/phone charger) Repainted petals all four Fuchs wheels with aluminum paint (RSR look) Remove muffler, cleaned, re-welded tail pipe, painted with grey ceramic paint Replaced MFI fuel filter in engine compartment Installed New Rear adjustable Koni shocks with coil over kit (175 lbs springs) Work performed Summer of 2018: Removed engine / Trans / Oil tank / Fuel Tank Installed New front motor mount Installed New Engine Comp Rubber Seals Installed new stainless steel fuel lines through tunnel. Installed new oil supply line from oil tank to engine. Adjusted valves, replaced valve cover gaskets with new silicon units (no leaks) Replaced alternator / alternator belt. Media blasted 11 blade fan and clear coated fan Installed new 123 Ignition programmable blue tooth Distributor Replaced rear brake hosed with new DOT Stainless steel lines. Cleaned and Tested all MFI injectors, replaced one bad injector Installed new IMI Hi-Torque Starter Recent Work Performed: Replaced alloy lug nuts - Oct 2019 Installed new Odyssey PC680 Battery – Oct 2019 Installed New first / Reverse Slider and 1st gear syncro – Oct 2019 Attached thumbnail(s) |

Looks like the Tach and combo gauge are non-original, is the speedometer original? Do you have original gauges? Does the dash have a cap on it, hard to tell from pictures.

Yes, someone once told me the Tach was a 911 Turbo tach with the boost converted to the oil pressure gauge. The dash is a very nice original dash pad (not a cap). I just had this ad brought to my attention. I'm the one who did the restoration on this car and sold it on BaT in 2011. Damn it's good to see it. Glad to see its been well maintained and continued to be improved.
Question for seller, When I sold it, it had a close ratio gear set in it. A, F, Ka, Q, X if I recall correctly. Was that swapped out for stock 4 gears or was the whole transmission swapped? |
