only relevant to 1 yr of 914's but would be nice

Assembly Bill 220 (AB220) proposes extending the exempt year to 1982!

Here’s an excerpt from the bill: ”All vehicles manufactured after the 1976 model year but prior to the 1983 model year if the owner submits proof that the motor vehicle is insured as a collector motor vehicle.

rhttps://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billTextClient.xhtml?bill_id=202120220AB220

The bill shows as introduced and “in committee”.

If you live in CA, please help us all out and email your Assembly rep asking them to support this bill. You can find your representative here: http://findyourrep.legislature.ca.gov/

That’ll be awesome if it happens. My 81 308 will be exempt and I can do a few things to extract a few more horses out of the engine!

Not going to hold my breath.

The same bill been introduced before, many years ago, but got shot down. With all the 'green' s#it they're spouting these days, I wouldn't expect it'll gain much traction this go-around either (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Unfortunately “in committee” is where they go to die….

Several iterations of this bill continue to get “overwhelming support” from hobbyist, yet our legislature continue to ignore the need for change.

I contacted my Assemblyman's and State Senator's offices asking them for their support for AB220, but I'm almost positive that I'll receive the normal boilerplate replies thanking me for contacting them ... and nothing more (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Thank you, Larry.

I have have supported this type of bill before and was extremely frustrated to see it "die in commitee" as mentioned above (ask my about my first trip to Oceano Dunes with the kids last Saturday - can't believe we and our CA State Parks cannot legally overcome the greedy desires of the developers that have the CA Governors paid off to take away the only ATV/UTV accessible beach dunes in CA - and one of only a few in Our United States (IMG:style_emoticons/default/fighting19.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ar15.gif) ).

Let's hope that We (classic car fans in Kalifirnia),Hagerty and Grundy etc. can get this passed this time . . . (IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif)
