Hello,
clearing out some parts. I have what I remember and think are 2.0 bus heads, and 1.8 heads. Can somebody help confirm? also.... I have a 2.0 block that I wanted to someda build a 2.0. I also have a set of 1.7 heads which I thought would be the best to convert. Anybody agree before I sell these? 2.0: ![]() ![]() |

2.0 heads from a 914 always have only three (3) studs to hold the intake manifolds to the heads. On VW buses, regardless of engine size, the bus heads always have four (4) studs to hold the intake manifolds to the head. The last picture looks like a 1.7 head from the shape of the combustion chamber. The first pictures you posted are difficult to identify because the combustion chambers look like someone has ground out an area to increase the size of the combustion chambers. We need to see the casting numbers on the heads, or know the valve sizes to ID the heads.

Thank you for the help, I have looked for casting numbers, and I do not see them. Where would they be located? Or my eyes are not as good as they were. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

The Buses had small valves, the 1.8 valves are larger.
The "ratwell" and archived "tunacan" pages should list the valve sizes for the Bus and 1.8 heads. --DD |
