My project is raging at snails pace….so much thread evaporated.
Seems parts acquisition only progress.
Latest stung a bit but that’s how it goes.
The set I sold for $850 a mere and distant memory. Opened box just to touch them.

Progress report
Look what came back from machine shop. Of the three things sent out, it was last to go out and first back. I needed this for attitude improvement….

The calipers look great, I totally understand about needing to check them out from time to time. Getting the engine case back is major progress, congratulations! Is it a 2.7? Please keep the updates & pictures coming as your build progresses (I am a year or so behind you).

Did Ollies do the machining? Don't feel alone, I was there two years ago and these days assembling small parts and tons of bits to get our /6 off the ground, or at least running.

Keep the faith and soon the prize will be in your lap

Couple of answers….
Case was done by JB Racing…….reasonable turnaround time.
It will be a 2.0 but with S pistons…..Heads being “worked” elsewhere.
As an engine builder said recently…..I can make money disappear faster than David Copperfield. We can all relate! Preparing shopping list for build as getting close. And this car has been disassembled for about 30 years ……so low mileage………just not under my ownership.

Mine's been waiting nearly 20 years to be put back together. Don't sweat it.

Sending the rods out? We usually have our machine shop fit the rods to the crank.

Hadn’t planned on it but saw your comment earlier. Seems I may need to. Engine build is quite the rabbit hole.
Today’s shipment from Supertec
Reconditioned rockers….and modification to idlers so I can go with pressure fed tensioners….Ka Ching!

Another small step for this mankind……
Todays box of goodies from Tru-6.
Refinished alternator housing and fan (and misc goodies)from Shaun……plus a cool T-shirt.
Cerakote and yellow zinc. I know it’s not “correct” but magnesium just turns gray.
Also got a box of new stuff for engine build……bearings, timing chains, gaskets etc etc.
Moving the right way…..albeit at a crawl.

Nice looking heads! Big ports. What cams are you using? Looks like it will be a fun screamer.
