I fell in love with my first Amco console at a junkyard!
Still have it.
Traded two 914 door handles for it.

The Amco console also had couple of gauges too.
I thought was Bonus.

any how.. I love gadgetry, and the gauges in the Console made me want more

I don’t have one.
I thought I wanted a 2.0 console until I tried one. My foot felt claustrophobic.

I had one is my previous 914 and really liked it. I moved my head unit to it and ran my dash solid and clean across.

Wrap the plastic in matching leather. Use the two rear switches for seat heaters.

I have a AMCO console that came in my 70 (along with a shift knob). Do you know if the switches had a specific use or were they to be wired at the owners discretion? I think mine has some wires going to stereo?

Regarding photos; I struggled with this as well. Then I had the revelation of just posting them on Samba and cross posting them here. Problem solved.

I know the site is free and all, but what a pain in the ass.

I am all in for leather wrap. Someone could splash the back and make a mold to make these out of Carbon Fiber. The old ABS gets brittle in the thin cross sections. 914rubber could do that work.

Best of my knowledge , the switches came with the console.

Not the greatest ,but I used them for a long time in my first 914.
one power the stereo, the other power up an Big amp.
custom fitted 10 "subwoofers, on floor, in front of seat, sat at an angle.

The Amco console made it so easy to do your own touch.
Mainly hiding wires! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif)

The other reason why I love my Amco,
Room for my foot!

Stock one feels cramp,
Amco, my knee clears under the Amco console.

Bob, that’s a great idea. I’d be I’m for one as my dash is mainly carbon.

Haven’t seen a console without the switches. When I came across it, I knew they were perfect location for seat heaters.
