The early cars with the straight rod take a round knob. The later cars use a "pinched" shaped knob It looks like you have early cars.

I believe I have a late model knob with the pinch, if you would like it.
I'll need to find it in the garage if you do. I just "cleaned" up my work bench so I haven't a clue where it may be at the moment. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
But, it will definitely be find-able.

I just looked at my '70 -6 and it has the flat/pinched knob. Although somewhere over the past 45+ years I may have replaced it and don't remember...

@Al Meredith

Al, Is the eraly round knob like the heater lever knob? I have a couple early levers and plan to build restored. seat frames and wouldike to use the correct knob.
