I'm wanting to replace my metal hood and rear deck with Balsa wood reinforced fiberglass units. If you have pictures can you please post them. Thanks inadvance.

There's more threads on Fiberglass hoods and decks as well as other parts. Believe there are some good quality parts available. Hopefully others chime in.

Never ran FG hood or deck on any street 914. Didn't see the point.

Fiberglass front and rear lids and both bumpers.
I don't know the source for the authentic looking balsa reinforced hoods but they were bought around twenty years ago from a pretty well known 914 racer in Pennsylvania.
Fitting the lids was not too difficult and bodywork was minimal. I did not seek more than fiberglass should be.
The bumpers came without brackets. I fabricated them from aluminum.

I have Getty Design 'GT' style lids with the balsa wood and they're really cool - great quality and substantial weight savings especially if you ditch all the OE spring parts. Mine were installed around 2011 so I don't have any really current info on Getty or alternatives.

For sure there's lots of other data and pics on the forum
