We are ready to run the front oil cooler lines on my 6 conversion.

Alot has to do with if it's a street car that needs heat? I ran through the passenger long, into the footwell and up into the front trunk. But I don't need no stinkin heat, it's too damn hot here anyway.

You can run the lines in the rocker panels and have them enter inside the fenderwell to the front trunk.
I suggest -12 braided line if your budget can handle it... if not. Buy some high temp 1 inch rubber line. B |

This is mainly a track car.
I've got all the heat I can stand. Was thinking of running aluminum lines because of heat dissipation but would like to avoid running in the passenger compartment because of the heat. I read somewhere about running lines inside the rockers following the path that AC lines would have been run. This may be easier with braded lines. Pictures anyone? BL |

I cant find the ones I'm looking for.
Run the lines inside the heater tube.. then have them exit right near the floor in the passenger side footwell. The fram rail has a small exit that I enlarge. Then you go to the factory GT line "hole" and rout into the front trunk. B |

This is where it will exit into the front trunk. The line for the windshield washer runs thru here. Its a small frame rail..

For a 914-4, what size lines do you want to run to allow for proper flow?

Chris,
I run -12 because 99% of the cars I build will be 9146 conversion cars one day... and guess what ? The -12 and cooler will be perfect for any six installed later. I try to think ahead. B |
