Finally got a hold of a unibit drill bit. What a difference for drilling holes in steel. After using 6 different regular drill bits to progressively put a 1/2" hole in the bumper for fog lights, got the unibit and it cut thru the steel like it was swiss cheese.

If you don't know, the bit is stepped like a zigguart. It was expensive but worth it.

they are nice. you have to treat them well, tho - if you manage to overheat one of the steps, it'll lose its temper, the cutting edge will be lost, and you'll have a hell of a time ever getting past that size in the future.

then you'll lose -your- temper.
