We are a member-owned community where people have fun, help each other, and talk about Porsche 914 history, tech, restoration and racing.

* Racism doesn't have a place at 914World. * Don't call anyone names. Treat other members like your mother taught you - If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. No personal attacks. * We like everyone to be able to have their voice, so we won't edit, delete or lock a thread or post unless it's just gotta be done. Keep yer dirty pictures in the Sandbox, too. We'll do our best to send you a PM before we clean up yer messes. * We hope you use our classifieds, but the 914World team can't be responsible for the actions of buyers and sellers. Remember the latin "Caveat Emptor"... (translation: let the buyer beware.) * Please, let's not talk about Politics & Religion. Wars have been fought for years and years because of Politics and Religion, so let's keep 'em out of 914World. * Remember keep yer dirty pictures in the Sandbox. Yes, this includes avatars and pictures in signatures. * We welcome your off topic posts, but please label your post so it's obvious (begin your topic with "OT:"). Rule Addendum - 24 Feb 2007. * Any "Us vs Them" thread relating to other 914 sites will be immediately deleted without warning or notice. It's time to move on. |

The 914world belongs to it's members. Our logo is free for you to use for personal use. Want to make a 914world shirt, sticker, pen, hat, tea set or brassiere for yourself? You're absolutely free to show your pride!
However, if you're going to make items for resale to others... the Admin team would like to review them to ensure that only high quality stuff is sold. No, we're not asking for a cut or a freebie. We just want to do a quality check. Here's the link to the EPS file... Click HERE for logo file. Common questions: Q. What is a "eps" file & how is it opened? A. .eps is an "Encapusulated Post Script" file. Graphics guys, embroderers, etc will be able to open it pretty easy. (See also Wikipedia EPS Page ) Please note, somehow, the PHP on the server turns the extension into .ps when you download the file. but it's still a EPS Q. Is there another thread about this? A. Yes. See this thread: Click HERE for more info. Kind regards, The Admin Team |

Good morning, everyone.
Once upon a time, we had a policy of absolutely no discussion of politics & religion (P&R). The policy was in place because we saw these discussions tear up other communities and hoped to avoid the same strife here. Several months ago, we relaxed that rule hoping that members would engage in reasonable and civil debate. Most did - and we thank you for living up to the high standards you have for each other. Unfortunately, a few did not and the ensuing arguments became very ugly. Everyone on the admin team knows, understands and respects the feelings on both sides of the issue of continuing the P&R topics. Over the past few days, we've watched the discussion unfold and took every comment seriously. As we saw the voting develop, it was clear that the majority of our members feel that P&R discussions have outlived their usefulness on 914world. We agree with the majority opinion that this is the very best solution for everyone. We (914world folk) don't need an admin team over-moderating, acting as babysitters, monitoring every thread and responding to hurt feelings multiple times a day. This is time and effort that's not dedicated to keeping the nuts and bolts of 914world running so we all can enjoy our hobby of 914s. We're a great community, and the admin team asks that we all move forward. If you have any questions, please review the few rules we have (as currently posted) and contact any site admin if you need further info. Thank you again for all the time and effort you invest here... it's the people that make this place fantastic! -Rusty |
