It is not quite like writing a book in longhand, but I am going back-to-basics for a rather long road trip starting tomorrow. I'll be driving friom Huntsville, up through Chattanooga, Knoxville, Bristol, Charlotteville, and on to Alexandria, VA. I'll stay in DC to watch fireworks, then amble on up to Connecticut for the ALMS race at Lime Rock.
I'm pretty confident the car is ready. I wish I was a little more ready myself. It is going to be HOT, so I'm taking a gallon tank of ice-water in a pressure sprayer I'll have my AAA card, but no real time to meet up with teener owners along the way. Now I have at least shared my flight plan, so if a search and rescue becomes needed... |
