That mfgquote.com is a joke. We looked at trying to pickup some work on there a few years ago and communication was horrible. Deadlines were set for all quotes to come back and no one ever replied to them. Then by the time they decide to give contact both parties one of the two of them isnt interested anymore. Need prototype stuff. Post it on here and someone will pick it up or know someone who can do it.
Those 3D printers are way cool though!!! Ive seen people make bearings with the balls inside the races. A bust of darth vader and all kinds of crazy stuff. Been a while since I've seen what they are doing with them now so I'm sure they are quite sophisticated now. |

Holy crap ppickerell, your shop is amazing. I have a whole bunch of precision millimeterwave housings, waveguides, and fixtures that I'd love to have made, but I get the feeling that its well outside of my budget to have done what I want (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
Something I've been trying to figure out how to do is make a rectangular to round waveguide adapter. I don't even know if wire EDM with tilting spindles would do it. -Tony |
